Drag a bot out of the app

Drag a bot out of the app → Quick Work opens where you drop it

The idea comes from @alexmichaelio's Grok Bot concept. You grab a bot, carry it out of the app and drop it on whatever is on screen. The bot knows what it is sitting on, and you ask it about that.

Most of this is already built. The desktop pet, the Quick Work HUD that stays attached to the pet, and window-below.ts (which app window is under a point) are all live. The new part connects them: when you drag a bot out of the rail, the pet window takes over the drag.

1 Carry the bot out BotModeRail.tsx pointer drag + new allternitCompanion.carry() Drag-to-promote inside the rail still works. When the cursor leaves the window, the drag becomes a carry.
2 Pet follows the cursor desktop-companion.ts The pet takes the dragged bot's look and follows the cursor while the button is down. It does not roam during a carry.

What the check found

I tested a local preview of the real components in headless Chrome. It covered a desktop mouse drag, an iPhone 14 long-press with real touch events, and the HUD attachment.

  • Desktop drop: the card opens with On Q3 Revenue and Ask about Q3 Revenue…. A drop back on the rail opens nothing.
  • Phone: it was broken. The carry ended at the first move, because the drawer removed the row and the browser had already chosen to scroll. Fixed: the drawer fades out and lets touches through while you carry, then closes after the drop.
  • Escape: it did not close the card. Fixed: Escape now listens in the capture phase.
  • HUD: the window picture shows as an attachment tile named Numbers · Q3 Revenue.
