iPhone app, round 5: Code layout, bot chat stage, one layout switcher
Code mode
- One view switch only: Chat / Terminal, right of the model picker in the composer. The top-left switcher and the New chat button are gone.
- Header: ☰ on the left, the gizzi code mark in the centre, and the sessions button (task-list icon) on the right. What's new sits right under it.
- The sessions sheet has Terminal and Shell at its top right. Shell keeps the sessions button, so you can always get back.
- The composer shows icons only:
- above the composer: the computer on the left, context usage on the right
- below the composer, on one row: folder, branch, worktree and permissions, then the model and the Chat/Terminal switch
- In a session, the header shows the session's name. Tap it to rename, copy the ID or archive.
- A session's header has the sessions button and a Panes menu on the right.
- The Panes menu lists Session panel, Terminal, Changes, Browser, Computer, Files, Artifacts, Transcript, Background tasks and Code map.
- The session panel has the Desktop cards: Progress, Environment, Context, Pull requests, Outputs, Background tasks, Tree and Connectors.
Bot chat and group rooms
- A bot's main chat opens on its stage first: the big face, Needs you, suggestions and Hand it a file. Swipe up or send, and the bot moves into the header.
- The Main chat · Threads · Tasks · Bot tabs sit on the composer, not at the top. The deck below has Agent mode · Plugins · Artifacts.
- Group rooms open on a stage with the bots in a row and the last line said. The composer is the same as the bot chat's.
Context usage
- Home, bot, group and Code composers all have the context meter: five blocks and a percent, read from the same session endpoint as the web. Tap it for what fills the window.
- It hides until there is a figure. A new, empty chat shows none.
List · Grid · Deck
- One switcher, in the Bots home style, on Bots home, bot Threads, bot Tasks, Groups, Projects, Artifacts, the open-chats overview and the Code sessions sheet.
Checked
- The build passes, and I checked each screen in the simulator.
- Screens shot: Code home, a Code session, Session panel, Terminal look, Rimraf's stage, the #launch room, Home chat and the Code sessions sheet.
- Pushed to #1942 as 599d6d832. The docs link check reports 0 problems.
